Regional Endpoints: Full Control Over Where Your AI Workloads Run

Regional endpoints for data sovereignty and secure AI inference

At ToothFairyAI, we have always championed regional sovereignty — your data, your rules, your region. Historically, when capacity ran low in your preferred region, we had to route some requests to nearby regions to maintain availability. That trade-off is now gone. We now offer regional endpoints that give you granular control over exactly where your inference happens.

Regional endpoints are built for organisations that cannot afford ambiguity about data residency. Healthcare providers, financial institutions, government agencies, and multinational enterprises each operate under different regulatory regimes. Regional endpoints let them map their AI workloads to the jurisdictions that satisfy their compliance obligations.

Two Routing Modes

You can choose between Global and Regional routing modes depending on your requirements. Global mode (the default) prioritises your preferred region but routes to Europe or the US if model availability drops below 50%, ensuring your agents stay responsive. Regional mode keeps all requests in your selected region no matter the degradation level — if capacity is unavailable, the request queues until it frees up.

Global mode is ideal for productivity use cases where low latency matters and a temporary regional fallback is acceptable. Regional mode is designed for the most sensitive workloads, where any cross-border transfer requires explicit legal review and internal approval.

Workspace-Level Enforcement

For organisations with strict compliance requirements, admins of Business and Enterprise workspaces can enforce regional inference across all agents. This prevents data leakage from misconfigurations — even if an individual agent is set to a different routing mode, all inference stays within your configured region. This is critical for public sector organisations, healthcare providers, and financial institutions operating under strict data residency mandates.

  • Prevent Misconfiguration Leaks — A single misconfigured agent cannot route sensitive data outside your region
  • Compliance Assurance — Enforce regional sovereignty at the workspace level without trusting each team member
  • Audit Simplicity — One workspace-wide setting guarantees compliance rather than auditing individual agents
  • Real-Time Availability Monitoring — See current model availability percentages for each region directly in the app

Regions and Availability

Regional endpoints are available across the ToothFairyAI global footprint, including Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States. We are expanding to additional regions based on customer demand and local regulatory requirements. The in-app region selector shows current capacity, supported models, and latency estimates for each location.

Regional endpoints are available for all subscriptions. The default routing mode is Global. To configure your region, navigate to Settings > Regional and select your preferred region and routing mode.
